The Great Outdoors
Thanks to the county’s forests and fields, lakes and streams, it is the perfect terrain to go biking or camping. There are five public lakes, three county parks and two wildlife management areas. Two of the lakes are connected by a canal and are great for fishing, so don’t forget to bring your boat. If you’re a hunting fan, you’ll be able to hunt white-tailed deer, feral hog, turkey and cottontail rabbit in the wildlife areas during specific seasons. Just make sure to head to the Bradford Sportsmen’s Farm to practice your shooting before the big hunt.
Acres of Prime Farmland
Home to nearly 500 farms across 58,000 acres, the U.S. Department of Agriculture named thousands of acres in Bradford County as “Prime Farmland” – hence the famous strawberry festival.
