The Marion County Public School district has 61 Public schools and is a participant in the statewide school choice program. Some of the top-rated public schools in the region are Dr. N.H. Jones Elementary School and Madison Street Academy of Visual and Performing Arts which boast math and reading proficiency above 90%. For higher education, Marion Technical College is a good alternative to a traditional university.
